Big ICE Tower Tiny Square is a precision pixel platformer by EvilObjective, released in March 2021 as the direct sequel to Big Tower Tiny Square. It runs free in your browser with no download, so you can play it unblocked at school or work.
What is Big ICE Tower Tiny Square?
After the events of Big Tower Tiny Square, the villainous Big Square has fled to a towering ice fortress. You play as Tiny Square, wall-jumping through one giant maze-like level split into large single-screen sections. The catch: no sprint, no double-jump, no floaty controls. Each obstacle is hand-crafted, so deaths come fast and often, but generous respawn checkpoints keep the pace moving. The game is heavily inspired by single-screen arcade games, and that tight, deliberate design shows in every section of the tower.
Controls for keyboard and controller
The controls are minimal by design. On keyboard, use A/D or arrow keys to move and any of the jump keys to leap or swim. Wall jumps trigger automatically when you press a jump key while touching a wall.
| Action | Keyboard | Controller |
|---|---|---|
| Move | A / D or arrow keys | Left stick or D-pad |
| Jump / swim | Space, Z, W, or up arrow | A button |
| Wall jump | Jump key near a wall | A button near a wall |
| Reset to checkpoint | R | Y button |
| Main menu | Esc | Start |
Hazards in the ice tower
Two main threats fill the tower from bottom to top. Knowing what each one demands keeps deaths from feeling random.
| Hazard | What it does | How to handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Bullets | Fired across the screen in set patterns | Time your movement around the gaps in each burst |
| Cold water | Instant kill on contact | Use swim controls to clear short gaps, land above the surface quickly |
| Walls and gaps | Tight corridors force precise jumps | Wall-jump off both sides to gain height without losing momentum |
Tips for climbing the tower
- Learn the respawn checkpoint layout first. Dying is expected, so knowing where you will restart shapes how aggressively you can play each section.
- Wall-jump often. The ice tower is full of narrow shafts where wall-jumping up both sides is faster and safer than trying to arc over a gap.
- Watch bullet timing before you move. Most bullet patterns repeat; one or two passes of observation saves several deaths.
- Avoid cold water by landing above the surface, not into it. A swim press clears a short gap but the water kills on prolonged contact.
- Treat each single-screen section as a mini-puzzle. The screen boundary is a hint that the designer intended that layout to be read and solved, not rushed.
Is it free and can you play at school?
Yes, it is completely free to play in any modern browser. There is nothing to download or install, and no account is required. Because it loads in the browser, it works at school or work wherever browser games are not blocked. It also runs on phones, tablets, and Chromebooks.
