Big Tower Tiny Square 2
More games to play
Big Tower Tiny Square 2 is a free browser platformer where you guide a small square up a towering obstacle course to rescue Pineapple. It picks up after the events of the first game, sending you back to a rebuilt Big Tower packed with traps pulled from every earlier entry in the series. No download needed. The game runs in your browser and is free to play, so it works at school or at work wherever browser games are allowed.
What is Big Tower Tiny Square 2?
This is a precision 2D platformer and direct sequel to Big Tower Tiny Square. Big Square has kidnapped a new Pineapple and reconstructed the ruins of the old Big Tower using traps from previous games. Your job is to climb back up and take Pineapple home. The tower is taller and trickier than before, with more platforming puzzles alongside the spike-and-saw gauntlets from the original. Checkpoints appear often enough that dying sends you back only a short distance, which keeps the frustration level manageable even when a room beats you ten times in a row. Helpful hints from other tiny squares appear at certain points along the climb.
Controls for climbing the tower
Movement is handled entirely from the keyboard. The controls are simple to pick up.
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Move left | Left arrow or A |
| Move right | Right arrow or D |
| Jump | Up arrow, W, or Space |
Obstacles and what makes each section hard
The tower mixes traps from across the Big Tower series, so the hazard types shift as you climb higher.
| Hazard type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Spikes | Instant kill on contact, fixed to floors, ceilings, and walls |
| Moving saws | Patrol set paths and require timing to pass |
| Narrow platforms | Force precise landings with little room for error |
| Gap sequences | Chains of jumps with no platform to rest on between them |
| Trap rooms | Enclosed sections that combine multiple hazard types at once |
Checkpoints and progression
Frequent checkpoints are one of the biggest changes from older entries in the series. When you die, you restart from the most recent checkpoint rather than from the bottom of the tower. This lets you grind a tough room without losing minutes of progress. The game also includes the original Big Tower from the first game alongside new sections, so returning players will recognize some early rooms before the layout shifts into unfamiliar territory.
Tips for getting past the hardest rooms
- Watch a room for a full second before moving. Most deaths come from jumping before you have read the pattern.
- Jump height is consistent, so you can test clearance on a spike cluster by approaching it slowly and jumping from the same spot each time.
- Moving saws follow fixed loops. Count the beats and move on the safe window rather than rushing.
- Narrow platform sequences are easier if you tap the direction key instead of holding it, giving you more control over how far you slide.
- The hint squares are worth reading. Some of them flag a specific trick in the next section that is not obvious from the layout.
